Linda Bolton is a Fellow of Privacy Information, the highest recognition of privacy knowledge, experience, and advocacy, through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Linda navigates the intricacies of the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information using a collaborative approach and strong relationships with subject matter experts and privacy oversight offices. As privacy awareness grows, Linda is being consulted during the business requirements, options analysis, and contract development phases of projects. She provides privacy training and awareness activities and develops privacy policies and procedures. She reviews privacy programs and has held responsibility for briefing legal counsel during privacy events.

Linda has completed over 70 Privacy Impact Assessments for Provincial Governments, municipal entities, and private sector clients. The topics of these PIAs ranged from registries and surveys to enterprise level systems and customer portals. Most PIAs have contained highly sensitive personal information, such as health and financial information, and some have received media attention due to their high profile. Linda has also established and managed a Privacy Office, reviewed privacy programs, and drafted privacy policies.

Working under pressure, Linda collaborates with stakeholders, clearly identify issues and concerns with business processes, identify risks, and create appropriate mitigation strategies.

Linda has also earned her Certified Associate of Project Management credential through the Project Management Institute, is certified as a Change Manager through PROSCI©, is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and she holds a Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Victoria.
